Funeral arrangements are set for the teenager who drowned over the weekend, while trying to cross the Barren River.

Police say the body of 15-year-old Jessie Ingram was discovered early on Mar. 30, about 50 yards downstream from where he went under.

Ingram was trying to walk through the river behind Beech Bend Park with another teen on Saturday night, and got caught up in the current.

Crews from Alvaton, Allen County, Richardsville and Hart County joined in the search effort.

Ingram's body was recovered just after 4:30 a.m. on Sunday morning.

Visitation for Ingram will be at Heritage Funeral Services on Tuesday, April 1, from 11:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m., and on Wednesday, April 2 after 9:00 a.m.

Ingram's funeral will be held at Heritage at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 2.

The family is also accepting donations to help aid in the funeral costs.

Anyone interested in helping the family can donate money to Heritage Funeral Services at 1510 Campbell Lane.

For more information, please call Heritage Funeral Services at (270) 746-0603, or (270) 991-2758.
