WKU Funding for Campus Street

Governor Fletcher and the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet have authorized funds for improvements to 15th street on Western's campus.

The 250-thousand dollars approved will be used to reduce the current slope of the roadway, as well as decrease of the horizontal curve.

The total cost for the project is approximately 750-thousand dollars, but Western will cover any cost overruns.

Work is expected to begin in November with completion tentatively scheduled for April of 2006.

15th street is on the Northern edge of WKU's campus and it merges with Big Red Way and Center Street.
