Last week Gov. Patton announced 500 state inmates will be released from jail early. The move comes as Frankfort tries to meet its budget for the year. We learned how many inmates will come from area.
The latest news is that 19 inmates from the Warren County Jail will see their release just days before Christmas. Warren County Jailer Jackie Strode says the 19 inmates are to be released either Wednesday Dec. 18 or Friday Dec. 20. The inmates are non-violent offenders and serving between 30 and 90 day sentences.
