The new face of the "Keep It Clean Bowling Green" campaign was formally announced today at the Train Depot.
Stanley is a life-size trash can. He has already made appearances at the Concerts in the Park, where organizers say he was well received by the community. Stanley will be traveling to schools, special events, and festivals where they hope he will become a recognizable symbol.
The "Keep It Clean" campaign is a joint effort between the city of Bowling Green and Operation Pride. It began in the summer of 2004 and is aimed at raising awareness about litter in our area.
For more information or to book Stanley at your school or special event, contact Kim Lancaster at 393-3605 or Catherine Thomas at 745-0090.
