Power is back on for several Bowling Green residents, businesses, and restaurants after a massive outage due to the heat.
Well over 2,000 BGMU customers were without power at one time.
Bowling Green Municipal utilities was able to get power back and running within an hour.
According to BGMU a transformer over-heated and had to be replaced.
Many businesses and restaurants on Campbell Lane were forced to shut their doors due to the blackout.
The transformer that overheated was at the Cave Mill Road substation, so the outage was confined to that area of town.
