Kentucky Farmers Aid in Relief Effort

By  |

Kentucky Farmers are now pitching in to help Hurricane Katrina victims.

Between now and October 7, the Kentucky Department of Agriculture will collect new farm supplies and livestock feed for farmers in Louisiana, Alabama, and Mississippi who were affected by Katrina.

The Kentucky Cattlemen's Association will collect cash and credit card donations to buy needed supplies.

One of the collection sites is at Western Kentucky University's Ag Farm on Elrod Road.

The hours for collection are from 8 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. Monday thru Friday or by appointment.
