After 11 years of service, Bowling Green City School’s Superintendent announces his retirement.
Dr. John Settle will retire September 30th where he will join Murray State University’s College of Education. Settle will serve as the Director of School Services and Research.
While Settle says being part of the city school system was a great experience he looks forward to new challenges at Murray State University.
"I had a wonderful experience being superintendent of this school district. I leave it with a great deal of regret but it's an opportunity I can't pass up."
Assistant Superintendent Joe Tinius will become the interim superintendent until a new one is selected.
