A Russell County pharmacist is accused of giving out prescription drugs illegally.
Sixty-nine-year-old Leon Grider is charged with four counts of trafficking in a controlled substance in both Adair and Russell Counties.
Grider was arrested Monday night, almost a year from the date authorities searched his three pharmacy locations.
These are the first charges placed against Grider.
He was taken to the Adair County Jail where he has been released on bond.
Kentucky State Police say the case will be presented to a grand jury.
