It's happened before, but for the Kentucky Cattlemen's Association Convention, it is a first. An Internet auction to sell cattle from Kentucky took place Friday night at the Sloan Convention Center in Bowling Green.
KCA officials hope that increased demand and decreased cattle numbers will translate to a successful sale. Organizers say the Internet auction is a relatively new concept that is gaining in popularity.
Previous auctions have been successful and provided good prices for Kentucky cattle producers.
