Stay Cool Without Burning Cash

Customers have set a new record for electricity usage.

"This summer we've set three actually. The last peak demand we hit was two years ago."

BGMU doesn't have any problems meeting the increased demand. If something goes wrong, officials say they've got plenty of backup.

Meanwhile, customers are learning how to handle the heat. They're also learning what it's like to pay more to stay cool.

"It was extremely high for the month of July. That's why we've been running fans to keep things circulating and as cool as possible."

Experts suggest keeping air vents clean, closing curtains on the sunny side of the house during the day and setting temperatures at the highest comfortable level.
