After many delays the Simpson County Emergency center is finally up and running. Franklin Mayor Jim Brown says the center will allow dispatchers to devote more attention to emergency phone calls. The center has four lines instead of it's previous two, all new technology, and twice the amount of space. Residents are now paying $2 a month instead of the previous 69-cents for their landline to fund the new center.
