Wednesday afternoon, the Family Enrichment Center held an open house promoting its new Church Avenue location. The facility opened in July and now offers respite childcare, funded by the Kentucky State Cabinet for Health and Family Services. The respite center director says the goal of the expansion is to better help families in temporary need of childcare.
The new location has served more than 70 children since July.
As long as you have a social worker or a referring agency such as the Salvation Army, BRASS, Hope Harbor, Hotel Inc, CASA, Department for Community Based Services, or are experiencing some kind of a crisis you can receive child care from Respite.
