An area school is doing their part to give back to Its community.

Students at Allen County Intermediate Center have been collecting money for tornado victims from February's storms.

Students have donated more than $1,200 to the relief fund.

"A lot of the children here have had family and relatives that have been impacted and I think they felt a personal connection. They felt they were helping out even in a small way by bringing in their change." - Mary Jo Dewitt, Teacher, Allen County Intermediate Center

Modern Woodmen of America matched what the kids donated and ended up raising a total of more than $2,500 for the tornado victims.
