The first Saint Jude Dream Home ticket has been sold!

Warren County Judge Executive Mike Buchanon bought the first ticket on May 9 at the new Crossroads IGA on the corner of Cemetery Road and Lovers Lane.

The dream home is located in the September Lakes development in Alvaton and is valued at $400,000.

"This is the fifth year that we've done this and it's an exciting thing to raise a great deal of money for St Jude because St. Jude is the most deserving facility that I can think of," said Warren County Judge-Executive Michael Buchanon.

This year, 7,500 tickets will be sold for a chance at winning this home.

Not only does the $100 ticket give you a chance to win the house, but 14 prizes other as well--such as $400 worth of gas or groceries for a year donated by Houchens Industries.

Tickets can be purchased at Houchens Markets, Crossroads/IGA stores and at Hancock Fabrics in Bowling Green.

You can go online to stjudedreamhome.org. or call 1-800-834-5461 to get a ticket.

The drawing for the home will be held on September 7.
