Police arrest a Glasgow man and his wife after a chase through an area neighborhood. Bowling Green Police chased Douglas Springer and his wife, Stacey Springer, through the Riverwood subdivision Wednesday afternoon.
Douglas Springer was wanted out of Barren County for manufacturing and trafficking meth. He was recognized by an off-duty Brownsville police officer at Leaman Road and the 31W-Bypass.
The officer followed the couple before Springer and his wife jumped out of his car and began to run.
More police then joined the chase and followed them to a house at 218 Riverwood Road. Springer allegedly broke into the shed behind the house to hide.
He's now being charged with first degree fleeing and evading and wanton endangerment. He's also charged with third degree burglary for breaking into the shed. Authorities say Stacey Springer is only being charged with public intoxication at this time.
