Democratic rivals Bruce Lunsford and Greg Fischer were equally critical of U.S. war strategy in Iraq, but differed on a possible gas-tax holiday during a debate on May 12.

The two Louisville businessmen were joined by the other five Democratic Senate candidates in a 90-minute debate, aired statewide on Kentucky Educational Television.

The Democrats are running for the seat held by four-term Republican Senator Mitch McConnell.

The debate comes just a little over a week before the May 20 primary.
