A candidate for the U.S. Senate stopped in Bowling Green on Friday with some familar faces, showing their support for his campaign.

"Your next U.S. Senator... Bruce Lunsford!", announced Heather Renee French.

Former Governor Julian Carroll, former Lieutentant Governor Steve Henry, and his wife Heather Renee French all showed their support for Bruce Lunsford in Bowling Green Friday morning.

Lunsford is facing six other democrats in the race for the U.S. Senate.

"Our campaign appears to be doing well. I want to make sure that we work all the way to the finish line. Every minute, every hour counts between now and next Tuesday", said Bruce Lunsford.

Lunsford says some of the biggest issues voters say concern them are the economy, rising gas prices, and home foreclosures.

The winner in the U.S. Senate race between Bruce Lunsford and his opponents will go on to face the winner of the Republican race between incumbent U.S. Senator Mitch McConnell and Daniel Essek.
