Louisville police charged a man with impersonating a police officer after two firefighters stopped him from forcing a woman into his car.

Police arrested 32-year-old Michael Myers after firefighters who saw the incident in the parking lot of a bar early May 17 and called them.

Authorities said Myers drove a sedan that resembled a police car and got out wearing a black T-shirt and an earpiece.

Firefighters working at a nearby firehouse saw what was happening and detained Myers.

Investigators said the woman was drunk and that could be the reason she was targeted.
