Authorities blame icy roads for an accident that took the life of a Central City woman on Thursday night. According to the Central City Police Department, 50-year-old Pamela Rose was driving north on Second Street when she lost control of her car due to the snow and ice on the road.
She reportedly veered into the southbound lane, causing 35 year-old Richard Huff to strike the right side of her car.
Both Rose, Huff, and a passenger in Huff's vehicle were taken to the Muhlenburg Community Hospital.
The Muhlenburg County Coroner pronounced Rose dead at the hospital at around 8 p.m. Authorities continue to investigate the accident.
