A manhunt that started in Logan County has finally ended in Tifton, Georgia. Last night 22 year old David Harrison and 20 year old Jason Wade Gaston escaped from the Logan County Detention Center. Jailer Bill Jenkins, says the two tripped a cell door lock with a wire, then escaped by kicking down a door in the jail's garage. Police say once they were outside a girlfriend picked them up and they headed south.
A Tift County sheriff's deputy pulled the three over for speeding. Harrison was waiting to stand trial for murder and Gaston was being held on arson charges. The two escapees and the girlfriend are awaiting extradition back to Kentucky at the Tift County jail in Georgia.
