Bowling Green's court of appeals Judge John Minton is tossing his hat in the ring for Justice of Kentucky’s Supreme Court.
Minton made the announcement this morning at the Warren County Courthouse.
He is a former circuit judge who was elected to Kentucky’s Court of Appeals in 2003.
Minton says he decided to run for the seat after Justice Bill Cooper from Elizabethtown announced he was not seeking re-election.
Minton grew up in Bowling Green and received a bachelor's degree from WKU and a law degree from the University of Kentucky.
