1st Annual "Strut Your Mutt" A Huge Success

Halloween may be a little less than two weeks away but some animal lovers got a head start celebrating.

Fountain Square Park hosted the first annual Strut Your Mutt Parade.

Dog owners dressed their pets in costume to raise money for the Warren County Humane Society.

The event was quickly put together over the last month, but proved to be a huge success.

"Everybody embraced it cause they thought it sounded like such a fun event and we are always very dog friendly down here. Many of the businesses are happy to have dogs enter their stores," says event organizer Susan Hoechner.

Prizes were awarded at the end of the parade for the best dressed and scariest costumes.
