PIKEVILLE, Ky. (AP) -- Two people are dead after a residence in eastern Kentucky caught fire.
Deputy Coroner Denver Bailey says the blaze occurred early Sunday at a mobile home near Elkhorn City in Pike County.
Ferrells Creek and Elkhorn City fire departments responded to find a man and a woman dead, apparently from smoke inhalation. Their names were not released.
An autopsy is scheduled for Monday to confirm the causes of death.
State police are still investigating the cause of the blaze.
