LOUISVILLE, Ky. (AP) — Two dozen Kentucky museums and other attractions are offering free admission to active-duty military personnel and their families starting Monday and continuing through Labor Day.
They're among more than 2,000 locations opening their doors at no charge to military personnel and up to five family members.
The "Blue Star Museums" program is a collaboration among the National Endowment for the Arts, Blue Star Families, the Defense Department and the museums.
Participants in Kentucky range from the National Quilt Museum in Paducah to the General George Patton Museum of Leadership at Fort Knox to the Kentucky Music Hall of Fame at Renfro Valley.
