Two women employed at a Laurel County dentist's office have been charged with illegally obtaining prescription pain pills.
Laurel County Sheriff John Root says in a statement that 35-year-old Katrina Dixon and 25-year-old Ashley Coffey, both of London, were arrested Monday. Root said both women worked for a local dentist and were calling in forged prescriptions for hydrocodone for dental patients without their knowledge. Root said the women then obtained the pain pills for themselves.
Both women were lodged in the Laurel County jail, where online records did not indicate whether they have attorneys.
