Update: 2 Juveniles Found Dead After Swat Team Standoff

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (AP) -- A Louisville man has been charged with kidnapping and two counts of murder after an early morning standoff with a SWAT team at a Louisville apartment.

Police on Friday afternoon also charged Ricardo D. Taylor with assault and possession of a controlled substance. Two juveniles were killed in the standoff and a woman injured and taken to the hospital Friday morning.

Louisville Metro Police spokesman Dwight Mitchell told WHAS-AM (that police surrounded an apartment in the city's Shelby Park neighborhood late Thursday night after receiving a report of shots fired.

Mitchell told The Courier-Journal that officers fired tear gas into the home after several hours of hostage negotiations.

At about 5 a.m. EDT Friday, a man and woman came out, but two juveniles dead were found inside.
