HE WAS ONE OF FIVE RUNNER-UPS IN A NATION WIDE SEARCH FOR HEROS IN LAW ENFORCEMENT.
CASAS WAS RECOMMENDED FOR HIS EFFORTS IN EDUCATING THE HISPANIC COMMUNITY ABOUT DOMESTIC VIOLENCE.
OUT OF MORE THAN TWO THOUSAND ENTRIES...ANOTHER FINALIST WAS CAPTAIN JOE JAKUB FROM THE WARREN COUNTY SHERIFF'S ANTI-CRIME UNIT.
JAKUB WAS SELECTED BECAUSE OF HIS ANTI-DRUG AND ANTI-VOLIONCE EFFORTS.
