Sentencing Delayed for Former BG City Manager

The sentencing date for Bowling Green's former chief financial officer has been postponed a month.

Davis Cooper faces an eight-year prison sentence for embezzling more than $4 million of taxpayer money.

In September, Cooper pleaded "guilty" in federal court, telling the judge he began stealing city tax dollars in the mid-1980's.

Cooper was to be sentenced Dec. 6, but a scheduling conflict with the assistant U.S. attorney caused the sentencing to be postponed until Jan. 5.
