A Russell County man is dead after being arrested for a disturbance.
According to Kentucky State Police, Russell County Sheriff's deputies responded to a disturbance on Lafavers Road.
KSP says, when officers arrived they searched for Larry Copley who was believed to be under the influence of an unknown substance.
Authorities say Copley had assaulted an elderly man then fled into a nearby woods.
Police arrested Copley after finding him being restrained by three friends.
While in custody, officers say Copley became unresponsive. They then performed CPR on him until EMS arrived.
Copley was pronounced dead at the Russell County Hospital. Kentucky State Police are investigating his death.
