Train Cars Moving

Railcars located at the L & N Depot are being moved in order to make way so the CSX Train Line can be increased for the widening of the 6th Street Underpass.

In order to create the underpass, a temporary bridge will be built through part of the depot affecting all four of the depot's railcars.

According to friends of the L & N Depot president Dorian Walker, all of the railcars date back to the civil war, with one car being the oldest in the world built by the Louisville-Nashville Railroad Company.

Walker says the cars will be put back on their normal track after the underpass is completed.
