Education Grant

KENTUCKY RECEIVES A FIVE-POINT-EIGHT MILLION DOLLAR FEDERAL GRANT TO MODIFY ITS STUDENT TESTING SYSTEM.
THE COMMONWEALTH ACCOUNTABILITY TESTING SYSTEM OR CATS IS NOT SET UP TO TRACK STUDENTS OVERTIME...BUT OFFICIALS HOPE THIS GRANT WILL ALLOW IT.CURRENTLY, STUDENTS ARE TESTED IN DIFFERENT SUBJECTS EACH YEAR AND DON'T ALL RECEIVE THE SAME FORM OF TESTING. KENTUCKY AND 13 OTHER STATES WERE AWARDED MONEY BY THE U-S DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION'S INSTITUTE OF EDUCATION SCIENCES. KENTUCKY RECEIVED THE LARGEST GRANT AWARD.
