Crime Stoppers: Armed Robberies

By Gene Birk |

At about 6:15 p.m. Sunday, December 4, a woman was walking to her car in the parking lot of a shopping center on Nashville Road. Police say a white male with a knife approached her, took her purse, and fled. Her purse was later found in a trash can.

The suspect is described as a white male, 6-feet 1-inch tall, with a stocky build. He had black hair and a black mustache, and the victim says he was "very well-spoken."

A white male with a large knife also robbed a check-cashing business on the 31-W Bypass on Monday, November 28. At that time he wore a blue and silver coat, similar to a Dallas Cowboys jacket.
