Skate Park Vote

The commission voted 4 to 1 to give the bid to Lose and Associates out of Nashville.

The city will pay the company $70,000 to design the skate park and then make 24 different visits to make sure the park is constructed properly.

Commissioner Delane Simpson tried to abstain from the vote, citing conflict of interest because he wanted another issue in the docket discussed before the skate park.

After being told he had to vote, he was the lone "no" vote on the floor.
