Jared Wright is the lead fitness professor for Bowling Green's Total Fitness Connection. He says there are basic tips that can prevent people stick to fitness resolutions.

First, make sure you have a good support system workout with someone who can hold you accountable.

Second, make sure your workout involves doing something enjoyable.

Wright suggests looking at fitness as a hobby as opposed to a chore..helps you look forward to your next workout.

Nutrition is key. Wright says improper food intake is comparable to a good house without a foundation.

Wright also says that when it comes to working out patience pays. Results don't happen overnight.

He also recommends not using the scale as a measure of your progress because muscle weighs more than fat.

Last but not least consistency tops Wright's list.
