Kentucky is known for beautiful horses and a history rich in horse racing. Now a British couple is helping share Kentucky's heritage with people thousands of miles away.
Paul Robard and his wife Caroline Green fell in love with Rocky Mountain Horses several years ago while staying in the United States.
They say they were first attracted to the breed's gentle nature and friendly disposition. There are only 12,000 Rocky Mountain horses in the world, half of them in Kentucky.
The couple set out to learn more about the four-legged creature and selected a farm in Edmonson County.
"Trainer Richie Wingfield is an amazing teacher. He really knows how to explain the information to us."
Robard and Green are absorbing everything they can during their three week stay in South Central Kentucky, before going back to introduce Rocky Mountain horses to England.
"We love these horses so much because of their gentle nature. Most of all because they unite people who share a passion and love for them. We are all like one big family."
