The dead in Sunday night's crash were the pilot, another man and an eight-year-old boy. The boy's mother and three siblings were injured.
There were low clouds and low visibility as the Cessna 421 approached the Somerset airport, said Mark Jarvis, a forecaster for the National Weather Service in Jackson. There was no snow or freezing rain at the time, he said.
The mother, Mia Zetter, 35, was in intensive care Monday at the University of Tennessee Hospital at Knoxville. The hospital said she was in stable condition but gave no detail. The children were in good condition Monday at Lake Cumberland Hospital, hospital spokeswoman Susan Ramsey Wilson said.
The pilot was Shalabh Agarwal, 32, of Valparaiso, Ind., Pulaski County Coroner Richard New said. Also killed was Joseph A. Maglish, 41, of Crown Point, Ind.
The names of Zetter's children were not immediately released. The eight-year-old who died was one of a set of triplets. Surviving were the other two eight-year-olds and a 10-year-old.
