An attempt to stop school bullies from intimidating other students has cleared the state house.
Under the plan local schools and school districts would have to develop plans prohibiting students from harassing other students.
The "anti-bullying" bill would also require schools to be equipped to come to the aid of bullied students.
The bill cleared on a 96-to-nothing house vote and heads to the senate for consideration.
Some of Kentucky’s neighboring states have similar laws on the books but similar proposals have stalled in the Kentucky general assembly before.
