A tip from "Crime Stoppers" leads police to arrest a man they say is responsible for an arson near Western's campus.
Bowling Green Police arrested Robert M. Martin in connection with the fire on December 27 at 1285 Kentucky Street.
Martin's charges consist of arson second degree, burglary second degree, and criminal mischief. He is currently lodged in the Warren County Regional Jail.
Four WKU swimmers lived at the Kentucky Street home, but were out of town for Christmas break at the time of the fire. No one was injured in the fire, but three other homes suffered damage. This was one of four arsons within about one month's time.
