The victim in the fatal collision of a church bus from Kentucky and a pickup truck in Dothan has been identified as an 11-year-old boy from Georgia.

Dothan police said on June 30 that Rippin Upton of Columbus died from the injuries he suffered when the truck he was riding in collided with the church bus Sunday afternoon.

A total of 23 people, including the truck's driver and a 9-year-old passenger, were taken to area hospitals for treatment.

Five remained hospitalized June 30.

The group from Centenary United Methodist Church in Lexington, Ky., was traveling to the beach at Panama City, Fla., for a church camp when the crash occured.
