A news anchor, a husband and now for the first time a father!

Gene Birk and his wife Elizabeth welcomed Abigail Caroline Birk to the world on July 3 at 11:14 a.m. at T.J. Samson Hospital.

Abigail weighed in at 8 pounds, 3.5 ounces and is 20 inches long.

And there's plenty of love for Abigail to go around.

"She's an incredible mom and she's done incredibly well with her kids. They're all happy and they're all loved and they know their loved and you can't ask for more than that in this life. I know Abigail's going to get that," said Birk.

And don't think Elizabeth will be in the hospital much longer.

The entire Birk family plans to attend the Chamber Orchestra's Fourth of July celebration at Western Kentucky University on July 4.
