Teen Drinking

A bill to revoke driver's licenses of teen drinkers is facing an overhaul.
State representative Dennis Horlander, a democrat, has asked that a vote on the bill be postponed because there's been disagreement.
Several members of the house transportation committee voiced opposition to one provision in the bill that would revoke the driver's licenses of any adults who provide alcohol to a person under 21, whether they sell it, supply it, or purchase it for the minor.
Lawmakers, however, aren't objecting to the other part of the bill, which proposes to revoke the licenses for six months of anyone under 21 years old who is convicted of possessing, purchasing, or attempting to purchase alcohol.
