11-Year Old Pool Prodigy

By Tamara Evans |

Landon Shuffett from Greensburg, Kentucky took up the sport of pool at age five, and competed in his first tournament at age six when he was in kindergarten.

Landon has competed in 350 tournaments, won 53 of them, and many of those tournaments have been against adults.

"Some of them call me the Kentucky Kid. I really don't have a nickname yet. I hope to get one because all the other great players have them, so i wanna have one too", says Shuffett.

This 11-year-old even made it to the youth world pool tournament in Austria last year.

"When I went to the BCA (Billiard Congress of America) Jr. Nationals I finished 2cd and that qualified me to go to the world's, so i made it to Team USA"

Landon may be a great pool player, especially for being so young, but it's his trick shots that are gaining national attention.

"I went to Ripley's Believe It or Not, then I went to David Letterman, then I did Freeride with Greta Gaines, Kentucky Life, Good Morning America, Ellen Degeneres, and Tony Danza twice."
