Bowling Green Police Break Out New Tasers

By Gene Birk |

Officers just learned to use their new tasers February 17, and at 2:12 a.m. Saturday, two officers used them on two different subjects in the same fight.

Police arrested 18-year-old Anthony Cornelius Jones, and 23-year-old Torey Jamal Hall, as a party was breaking up in the 500 block of State Street. Police say both men refused to comply with officers' commands, until they were tased.

In a separate incident, Warren County Deputy, Daniel Alexander, had to deploy his taser, while attempting to serve a "domestic violence emergency protective order" and summons on Shawn E. Ramsey. Alexander suffered cuts and bruises in a struggle with Ramsey, until he deployed his taser. The deputy was treated and released from the medical center. Ramsey remains in the Warren County Regional Jail.
