The governor of Kentucky is home after an 18-day stay in the hospital.
Governor Ernie Fletcher left "Saint Joseph's East Hospital" at around one central time this afternoon.
He says he's feeling better but acknowledges the lengthy hospital stay was necessary. The governor says when his fever skyrocketed to 103 degrees he knew he was facing a potentially life-threatening illness.
Doctors in Lexington now say most of the governor's vital signs are back to normal but they're still prescribing a lot of rest and say he can only work half of next week.
