A Kentucky house panel approves a bill to ban kids from riding in pickup truck beds.
The campaign started with a group of Jamestown Elementary students whose friend and classmate died when he fell from the bed of a truck.
Eleven-year-old Jaye Sparks died in October of 2004.
The students watched today as the "House Transportation Committee" approved the bill that would ban anyone under age 16 from riding in the back of pickups on public roads.
