AN AREA CLASS WILL NO LONGER HAVE TO USE MAKE-SHIFT ITEMS TO PREPARE FOR THE WORKFORCE.
THIS WEEK...THE HELPING YOUR HOMETOWN PARTNERS TOOK A CHECK FOR 250 DOLLARS TO THE F-M-D CLASS AT WARREN EAST HIGH SCHOOL.
F-M-D STANDS FOR FUNCTIONAL MENTALLY HANDICAPPED.
THE STUDENTS SPEND MUCH OF THE DAY DOING "WORK-JIGS"...REPITITIOUS TASKS THAT HELP PREPARE THEM FOR FUTURE JOB SKILLS.
THE CLASS CURRENTLY RECYCLES A LOT OF ITEMS TO USE AS WORK JIGS.....BUT WILL NOW HAVE MONEY TO BUY SOME PRE-MADE EXERCISES.
THE HOMETOWN PARTNERS ARE MADE UP OF GREENVIEW REGIONAL HOSPITAL, LEACHMAN BUICK G-M-C AND WBKO.
