Greenville Factory to Close

By Associated Press |

More than 300 workers at a clothing factory in Greenville will soon be looking for new jobs.

Flynn Enterprises will close its Muhlenberg County factory on May 1 because of what it calls, "a culmination of unforeseen business circumstances.”

The closing will affect about 310 employees.

Officials with the company, headquartered in Hopkinsville met with employees Thursday.

They say they plan to continue meeting with employees to answer questions, explain employee benefits, and offer job assistance.

This is the third Flynn factory to close in the area since 2004.
