New technology at an area hospital is aimed to stop child abductions. Starting Monday T.J. Samson Hospital of Glasgow is admitting children into their newly remodeled pediatric unit. The unit has 17 rooms all with private bathrooms.
It also includes a security system aimed to prevent child abductions. All children admitted to the unit must wear a bracelet that contains an alarm sensor. If the child leaves the ward an alarm will go off and all the doors will lock down. The hospital has been working on the new unit for about a year now.
