The Kentucky House has approved an $18 billion budget that includes a pay hike for public school teachers.
The budget passed on a 97-0 vote.
It calls for more than $500 million for various building projects on university campuses.
It would also give $75 million to build a much-debated arena in downtown Louisville that would be home court to the University of Louisville basketball team.
Kentucky's 46,000 teachers would get two percent raises in the first year of the two-year budget, followed by a three percent increases in the second.
