Governor Ernie Fletcher was taken to a hospital today for emergency treatment of a blood clot.
Fletcher spokesman Brett Hall says the governor had a blood clot from his upper arm to his jugular vein. The governor was expected to undergo invasive radiation later to dissolve the clot.
Hall says Fletcher was taken to St. Joseph Hospital in Lexington by Kentucky State Police troopers.
